Nestled in the Karas Mountain, with the dry Goibib River ‘running’ through the property, Goibib Mountain Lodge is a tranquil guest farm hideaway between Grunau and Keetmanshoop. Bring your camera and capture this pristine environment with a variety of wildlife both great and small as well as a sizable herd of majestic Nguni cattle. From wide-angle landscape shots to close-up, macro-photography, which brings the little things to light, the area is a photographer’s dream. The curious can even explore the nightlife with fluorescent light and discover the nocturnal world around us.

All withcozy furnishings, ensuring a home away from home feel, providing guests with a space to unwindand rejuvenate. 6 Rooms can accommodate 2 adults. 1 Triple Room that is designed to accommodate 3 Adults, and 1 Family Bungalow that sleeps two adults and 2 children.
7 x Campsites
Each campsite has:Electricity, a water point, a BBQ (braai) facility There are also shared ablutions and a kitchen area, with hot water. The shared ablutions have 6 separate bathrooms Campers have access to the main lodge, swimming pool, butcher shop and bar. Goibib has tents available for clients.
Activities
Farm Drive
Drink in the breath-taking Nama-Karoo basin landscape, while enjoying the opportunity to spot game on the drive. The farm drive is conducted in- a 4×4 vehicles and guided by our experienced and knowledgeable guides.
Hiking the Great Karas Mountain
Explore the local flora and fauna at your own pace or accompanied by a knowledgeable guide.
Picnic
Delectable picnic hampers filled with a variety of treats can be arranged upon request for day-long excursions around the lodge and beyond.
Driving Instructions
Goibib Mountain Lodge is situated on the west side of the B1 main road, connecting Windhoek to Cape Town.
From Windhoek:Take the B1 highway towards the Karas Region, Goibib Mountain Lodge is 112km south of Keetmanshoop.
From South Africa: Travel north along the B1 highway, you pass through Grunau, continue in the direction of Keetmanshoop for 48km.
