Huab Lodge

Kunene Region

Constructed to mirror the nearby mountains and seamlessly integrate with the rugged landscapes, Huab Lodge emerged from a commitment to raise funds for the conservation of the desert-adapted elephants that inhabit this expansive region. Stone and thatch bungalows offer guests private, scenic views from the elevated north bank of the river, creating a serene retreat. Huab Lodge is also home to a naturally occurring hot spring, so after a hard day of tracking the desert elephants along the Huab and Aba-Huab Rivers, relax in the warm minerals baths. In keeping with the ambiance at Huab, meals are enjoyed at a family table. Here it’s about making friends, exchanging opinions, kicking off your shoes, and making yourself at home.
