Ndhovu Enclave

Kavango

Since 1990, Ndhovu has been a beacon of authentic safari hospitality, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the wonders of nature, on the banks of the Okavango River.

Ndhovu Enclave is the new addition to The Ndhovu Collection. Opened in July 2026, it is a peaceful riverine retreat, immediately adjacent The Ndhovu Safari Lodge, with views overlooking the well-known Zambezi Game Park (Bwabwata National Park).

The area is home to large game such as elephant and hippo and to more than 400 different bird species such as the black-crowned night heron, purple gallinule and carmine bee-eater – heaven for any ornithologist.

During the rainy season the area around the lodge is very often flooded; then The Ndhovu Collection is transformed into an island on the Okavango.

Helicopter: Full Day Game Drive & Scenic Experience

This is a full day combination of heli-flip, game drive and boat cruise with a picnic lunch thrown in, over the northern Delta. The drive from Ndhovu Safari Lodge to Sepupa, where the Okavango Panhandle Heliport is located is about 95kms / 2 hours, including the border crossings. For clients not wanting to take their vehicles into Botswana, the lodge can arrange for transfers (at an additional cost). Clients need to arrive at the Heliport at 08:45 for a 09:00 departure. From The Heliport, clients are taken on a heli-flip to Jumbo Junction, where they depart on a boat cruise. The deep waters around Jumbo Junction mean that this is a year-round water-based activity. At the end of the boat cruise, clients are dropped off at the game drive vehicle, where they will then have the opportunity for guided land-based game viewing. Around 15:00 the helicopter lands next to the game viewer to fly clients back to the Heliport. There is also the option for an additional 30 minute ‘doors off’ helicopter flight from Jumbo Junction, before heading to The Heliport. (at an additional cost). This activity can only be booked and paid for AT THE LODGE, feel free to contact them at: [email protected]
