Accommodation
16 x Standard Chalet
The Chalet includes two ¾ beds for two adults per chalet but for minor children we have additional arrangements. All chalets have a shower and toilet, a cupboard and have a terraced balcony and allow breathtaking views over the Ugab Terrace. Artfully decorated walls and indigenous furniture create a warm and welcoming feeling. Our rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, wall fans and WiFi.
3 x Campsite
We have 3 stand-alone campsites where you can park your RV or construct your own camp. The campsites are situated against the incline at the foot of a hill overlooking the Ugab terraces and valley. The sites are approximately 40 meters apart from each other with shading from Mopani trees and large rocks. Each campsite has got a braai with basin and water. 3 campsites share an ablution-block, consisting out of 3 toilets and 3 showers with gas geysers for hot water. The ablution-block do have solar (battery charged) lighting from 19:00 to 23:00 at night and 05:00 to 07:00 in the morning. Unfortunately, there are no power points.
Activities
Zip Lines
Join us for an adrenaline rush on two separate Zip Lines (together, one of the longest in the world) with spectacular views and scenery all around. A unique adventure, carefully calculated for all ages, that’s truly breathtaking. We have the 15th longest Zip Line in the world with 2 lines, one of 860 meters (2821 feet) and the 2nd of 650 meters (2132 feet), respectively with a drop of 50 meters (164 feet).
Guided Walking Trails
We offer different types of guided Walking Trails for all adventurers. The 5km Walking trail is clearly marked through the most beautiful scenic terrain. Your camera is a “must” for this adventure.
Rock Art Excursion
We offer a unique, guided artistic and cultural experience at various locations where you can explore extraordinary bushman drawings. Along the way, we’ll grab a snack and cider too!
Bird Watching
Observe the endemic birds of Namibia, from the Violet Wood-Hoopoe, Hartluab’s Rüppel’s Parrot, Monteiro’s Hornbill, Carp’s Tit to the Bare-Cheeked Babbler, Rockrunner and the White-Tailed Shrike and more.
Sunset Drive
We offer a guided scenic drive, where you get an opportunity to learn more about the plants and their medicinal along with a bit of the geology in the beautiful area. At the sundowner spot, each person will receive a sundowner drink and snacks.
Stargazing
A photographer’s dream – bring along your camera and capture the mesmerizing African Night Sky with the Milky Way taking centre stage.
Driving Instructions
Ugab Terrace Lodge, situated in the heart of the best tourism country approximately 430 km from Windhoek. The lodge is situated on the C39 road west from Outjo towards Khorixas. After approximately 80km turn left onto the D2743 for 12km.
